Bexar County Sheriff Office’s Mounted Unit hosts their first Basic Mounted Patrol Course in the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo’s East Arena. The Mounted Unit is a specialized,12-member unit that provides law enforcement, security, and community engagement in the San Antonio, Texas area. Using trained horses, the unit patrols high-call locations, assists in crowd control, and participates in public events to foster positive relationships with citizens.
